Fleety - Rider Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation as a delivery partner ("Rider", "You") on the Fleety Rider App ("Fleety", "Platform", "we", "us").
By registering, uploading documents, or going online on the Fleety Rider App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Rider Status
- Riders are independent delivery partners, not employees of Fleety.
- Fleety does not provide employment benefits such as PF, gratuity, or paid leave.

2. Eligibility
To be eligible as a Fleety Rider, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a valid driving license (for bike/scooter riders)
- Own or have authorized access to the delivery vehicle
- Comply with all applicable traffic and local laws

3. Mandatory Documentation
- Riders must upload and maintain valid and up-to-date documents, including:
3.1 Personal & Vehicle Documents
- Driving License (DL) – valid and not expired
- Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
- Valid Vehicle Insurance (mandatory as per law)
- PUC / Emission Certificate (Pollution Under Control)
3.2 Document Verification
- Fleety may verify documents at onboarding or periodically.
- Riders must ensure documents remain valid at all times.
- Expired, fake, or invalid documents may result in:
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent deactivation in serious cases

4. Code of Conduct (Strictly Enforced)
4.1 Safe & Lawful Driving
- Rash or reckless driving is strictly prohibited
- Drink and drive is strictly prohibited
- Riders must follow all traffic rules and speed limits

4.2 Food Safety & Spillage
- Riders must ensure safe handling and delivery of food
- Spillage, tampering, or damage due to negligence is not acceptable
- Proper use of delivery bags is mandatory

4.3 Behaviour & Professionalism
Riders must:
- Be respectful towards customers, restaurant staff, and Fleety personnel
- Avoid arguments, fights, verbal abuse, threats, or harassment
- Maintain calm and professional conduct at all times
Any form of misconduct may result in immediate action.

5. Order Acceptance & Completion
- Riders may choose when to go Online / Offline
- Once an order is accepted, riders are expected to complete it responsibly
- Repeated cancellations after acceptance may affect rider status

6. Insurance Coverage
- Fleety provides insurance coverage for riders during active deliveries
- Coverage applies only when the rider is online and on an active order
- Coverage is subject to the insurance provider’s terms and claim process
- Riders are advised to maintain personal insurance as required by law
- Fleety does not guarantee claim approval and is not liable for claim rejections by the insurer

7. Earnings & Payments
- Earnings are based only on successfully completed deliveries
- Payouts are processed on a weekly payout cycle
- Payments are credited to the bank account provided by the rider
- Fleety does not charge riders any joining fees or commissions

8. Cancellations & Violations
- Riders should not cancel after accepting an order except for genuine reasons:
- Vehicle breakdown
- Safety concerns
- Restaurant unavailability
- Excessive cancellations may result in penalties or suspension
- Fleety may evaluate cancellations based on system logs and evidence.

9. Equipment & Expenses
- Riders are responsible for:
- Vehicle maintenance
- Fuel
- Mobile phone and data usage

10. Ratings & Performance
- Riders are rated by customers and restaurants
- Consistently low ratings or repeated complaints may affect eligibility

11. Suspension & Deactivation
Fleety may suspend or deactivate Rider accounts for:
- Rash or unsafe driving
- Drink and drive
- Food spillage or tampering
- Fighting, abuse, or harassment
- Invalid or expired documents
- Fraud or misuse of the platform
- Repeated policy violations

12. Limitation of Liability
- Fleety is not responsible for:
- Accidents or injuries
- Vehicle damage
- Loss of income
- Riders assume all risks associated with delivery activities

13. Changes to Terms
- Fleety may update these Terms periodically
- Continued use of the app indicates acceptance of updated Terms

14. Governing Law
- Governed by the laws of India
- Jurisdiction: Bengaluru, Karnataka

15. Account Deletion
- You may request to delete your account at any time through the App:
- Navigate to your profile and select "Delete my account"
- Confirm your deletion request when prompted
- Account deletion requests are processed within 5-7 business days
- You will receive confirmation once your account has been deleted
